YOGA in the Village Hall
for ANYBODY wishing to improve their health and wellbeing (whatever age or fitness level). MOVE, STRETCH, BREATH, RELAX for strength, flexibility, energy, calm. An ancient, holistic ‘keep fit’ system, still perfect for our modern lifestyle. Accessible to all, whether you’re fit as a fiddle or have creaky /achey bits, as practice is adapted to suit individual needs.
One great yoga teacher famously said that "if you can breathe, you can do yoga". Don't be put off by media and many books which show extreme positions. YOGA DOES NOT require a stick thin lycra clad body tied into impossible knots, standing on heads, nor is it essential to sit cross legged on the floor (we have chairs!) EVERYONE can enjoy yoga and its benefits, safely and comfortably.
My personal practice has spanned over 30 years and I love the way we can change the practice through life's changes – stronger/weaker, high/low energy, calm/stressed, well/ill, young/older.
British Wheel of Yoga Teachers are fully insured and regularly attend continued training. I’ve been teaching yoga for 17 years in both private and adult education classes.
Tuesdays 1.30 - 2.45 p.m.
Thursdays 7.00 - 8.15 p.m.
Fridays 9.15 - 10.30 a.m.
